Dubbed the ‘King of Cufflinks’ for his exquisite range, Robert’s creations are a fusion of his international background, passion for luxury, and extensive travels. Born in Kuwait to Lebanese-Palestinian-Armenian parents and educated in French schools in Rome, Robert is a polyglot fluent in seven languages. He pursued international finance at the esteemed Wharton School of Finance in Pennsylvania and carved a successful career in finance with Merrill Lynch, spanning Wall Street and the City of London. After seven years in banking, Robert’s innate creative spirit and an eye for luxury and detail steered him toward jewellery and accessory design. His designs break creative boundaries, blending traditional metals like silver and gold with an array of precious stones and unconventional materials such as carbon fibre and meteorites. His pieces often mirror his fascination with mechanisms, aesthetics, and the unusual. Tateossian has evolved beyond cufflinks; it now encompasses a wide range of men’s, women’s, and unisex accessories, including watches, money clips, rings, necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. Each item showcases the brand’s signature use of innovative materials and designs. Today, Robert Tateossian divides his time between London and New York, travelling the globe to source materials, meet clients and suppliers, and gather inspiration for his latest collections, continuing to redefine the boundaries of luxury jewellery and accessories.
